Examples of PPA educational initiatives
Support and intervention
In crisis situations, the Polish Psychologists’ Association activates real forms of psychological support for the Polish community in the United Kingdom. We offer free consultations, specialist helplines and remote support, responding to the needs of the community.

Intervention activities in response to social crises
The COVID-19 pandemic was a time of sudden psychological crisis, isolation and uncertainty for many people. PPA responded to these challenges by offering free psychological support for the Polish community in the UK in the Polish language, especially at times when access to help was significantly limited.

Intervention activities in response to the flood crisis
In September 2024, in response to the dramatic flood situation in Poland, the Polish Psychologists’ Association launched intensive informational and intervention activities addressed both to those affected by the floods and to those who wanted to provide help. In a short time, PPA created and shared a central hub gathering reliable information on psychological support, crisis assistance, aid organisations and ways to get involved. The published materials were widely shared on social media, reaching hundreds of recipients in Poland and the United Kingdom.
Meetings and open initiatives
For years, the Polish Psychologists’ Association has been involved in open initiatives, meetings and events addressed to the Polish community in the United Kingdom. We create space for dialogue, exchange of experiences and direct contact with specialists.

Direct contact with the community
PPA Open Days are a form of direct outreach to the Polish community in the UK. During these events, participants can benefit from individual consultations, developmental workshops and thematic meetings, as well as speak with specialists about challenges related to life, work and psychological wellbeing in a migration context.
Media and the voice of PPA experts
Experts from the Polish Psychologists’ Association regularly contribute to Polish media in the United Kingdom, commenting on current social events and issues related to mental health. We share knowledge and experience, bringing a psychological perspective to public debate.
