Admissions
We have created regulations defining the terms and conditions, which aim to keep the high standards and quality of your sessions with our volunteers.
If you wish to book an appointment, contact our volunteers at: Konsultacje@polishpsychologists.org
The waiting time for a consultation varies from several days to several weeks. During the first consultation, the consultant will conduct an interview to learn about your needs and expectations. You will be obliged to complete questionnaires and diagnostic tests. This will help the consultants to create a further care plan and allow them to refer you to the appropriate therapist.
Psychological support is tailored to the individual needs of the client. The duration of one meeting is approximately 50 minutes.
All information provided during the assessment and in the survey is treated as confidential within the scope of the organization. In order to ensure the highest standard of psychological assistance, each PPA consultant attends supervision, where he discusses his psychological practice with the supervisor and other psychologists, respecting the client’s anonymity.
This confidentiality may, however, be broken in the event of a risk to self or others.
The client has the right to cancel two sessions 7 days in advance. These sessions are not deducted from the pool of sessions contracted and will not be charged. You can make changes by phone or email. If you cancel your visit on a different date, you might be asked to pay 100% of the costs of the cancelled visit.
If you cancel the meeting twice, all reservations made by you will be suspended. Failure to attend 2 consecutive sessions without an attempt to contact the client is interpreted as a lack of readiness to continue therapy/consultations and is tantamount to termination of the contract.
If for any reason you foresee that you will not be able to arrive on time for a meeting, please notify him or her by email or telephone. When we do not receive information from you – our specialist is obliged to wait for you for 15 minutes.
Persons on the waiting list are informed by email about available appointments.
PPA is a charitable organization based on the work of volunteers and is mainly funded by donations and membership fees. In order to develop our offer and support those in need, we need constant financial support.
The donation for the session is based on annual family / personal income before tax is deducted. The session fee should be approximately 0.1% of the annual income of the family/person:
- <15 thousand pounds per year / difficult financial situation – the amount determined individually, preferentially minimum £ 10
- <20,000 pounds per year – £ 20
- <30,000 pounds per year – £ 30
- <40 thousand pounds per year – £ 40
- > 50 thousand pounds per year – the amount determined individually
Unemployed and/or benefit recipients who are in a difficult financial situation may be partially or fully exempt from session fees.
